Leonardo Bonucci has joined Gonzalo Higuain as Serie A’s highest-paid player following his summer switch from Juventus to Milan.

The Milan defender and the Juventus forward both earn salaries of A?6.86million, according to figures published in Thursday’s Gazzetta dello Sport.

That puts Bonucci ahead of his former team-mate Paulo Dybala, who signed a new contract worth A?6.4m with Juventus back in April.
